Channel 4 orders full series of The Naked Truth from True North

Following a pilot last year, Channel 4 has ordered a full series of The Naked Truth (working title) from Leeds’ True North.

The 10 x 45 minute series for Channel 4 Features will involve heart-to-hearts and “brutal honesty” as couples, families, best friends and even exes ask the questions they “never dared to ask.”

“We all have a burning question about a relationship, especially ones that have broken down and watching people tell the truth is proving both fascinating and heart-warming,” said Gill Wilson, head of features for Channel 4.

“Human Lie Detector” Dan Ribacoff will put people in the hot seat and allow them to bring up issues that have bothered them for a long time and see whether it will bring peace and resolution.

“It’s an exciting series that invites us to eavesdrop on the nation’s most honest conversations. The strength of the format lies in its stripped down simplicity, which has created a series that is really compelling,” added Fiona O’Sullivan, executive producer for True North.

Stuart Froude is the series director.
