Former Manchester United and Aston Villa striker Dion Dublin is to be the new presenter for BBC daytime property series Homes Under the Hammer.

Dublin is said by the producer to have for an ‘infectious enthusiasm for property’ and will join original presenters Martin Roberts and Lucy Alexander on the 19th series.

The format sees the team following the story of properties bought at auction as they are renovated and sold.

He said: “I am thrilled to be joining Martin and Lucy on Homes Under The Hammer. I have a passion for property and look forward to meeting people on the show who share that passion.”

Executive producer for Lion Television Scotland wich makes the programme, Lisa Hazlehurst said: “Dion’s enthusiasm for property is infectious and we’re really excited he is joining Homes Under The Hammer, which has proved such a hit with audiences for more than a decade.”

Homes Under The Hammer is made by Lion Television Scotland for BBC One Daytime. It is commissioned by Jo Street, Acting Controller, BBC Daytime and executively produced by Lisa Hazlehurst of Lion Television Scotland.
