BBC Three searches for new documentary makers

BBC Three has revealed more details about its Fresh Online initiative, which has been set up to find new filmmakers.
The scheme is a collaboration between the channel, BBC documentaries and BBC Learning in Salford.
Aspiring documentary makers are being asked to put together film ideas on the topic of disability and 6 entrants will be selected to attend the Sheffield Doc/Fest and pitch their idea to industry experts - including BBC Three commissioner, Elliot Reed.
Three successful filmmakers will receive £3,000 worth of funding and support to make their 3-10 minute documentary.
The competition is open to anyone over the age of 16, who’s never previously directed a broadcast documentary.
Channel 4 is running a similar initiative at the Doc/Fest, with its First Cut Pitch. Applications for this close on April 6th
