Autumnwatch will broadcast live from a new location in the North West when it returns to BBC 2 later this month.
The sister programme to Springwatch, which was first broadcast in 2005, returns for a four-day series from October 29.
RSPB Leighton Moss, a nature reserve on the edge of Morecambe Bay, will act as venue for presenters Chris Packham, Michaela Strachan and Martin Hughes-Games.
The series, which is made by the BBC’s Natural History Unit and is the BBC’s biggest outside broadcast series, will also feature an interactive sister show, Autumnwatch Unsprung (3x30min), with new host Nick Baker.
It will be live online and on the BBC Red Button, as will a new behind-the-scenes show, ‘Autumnwatch Extra’.
The BBC has already broadcast series of Winterwatch and Springwatch this year as well as a new show, Springwatch in the Afternoon.
