Nichola Shindler, the founder of The Red Production Company in Manchester is to deliver this year’s Anthony H Wilson Memorial Lecture.
It’s been a phenomenal year for Red, winning a Bafta for Last Tango in in Halifax and being named best indie production company at the Broadcast Awards.
Since then the BBC and ITV have announced a string of commissions from Shindler’s company including the return of Scott and Bailey and new productions Prey, Ordinary Lives and Pat & Cabbage.
The lecture, which seeks to champion the North West’s talent, will take place later this month at the Lowry Theatre.
It’s organised by the Royal Television Society in the North West and Tony Wood will chair.
