Online radio station and podcast network Proper Sport has teamed up with Bradford Bulls to stream the club’s games, home and away, free-to-air in 2018.

The partnership started with live coverage of the Bulls’ first game of the season at York City Knights yesterday. The matches are available via Facebook Live.

Bradford Bulls owner and chairman, Andrew Chalmers, said: “This innovative move to stream live, professional, free-to-air matches is brought about by the knowledge that the Bulls have an enormous national and global following, and that supporter base deserve to see their team in action. Our digital media analytics is telling us that our support base as well as being strong here in our region is also powerful and far reaching throughout the UK and abroad.”

Sam Brydges, head of broadcasting at Leeds-based Proper Sport, added: “With the past and recent history of the club every team will be out to get the Bulls in League One, which will make for a great story throughout the season. A lot of our Proper Sport content is delivered via Facebook Live so venturing into live sport broadcasting is a natural evolution and one we are excited to deliver.”

Proper Sport was formally known as Radio Yorkshire before a rebrand last month.
