Jenny Stewart, CEO of Liverpool and Sefton Chambers of Commerce, has agreed to become a sponsor of the inaugural Educate North Awards, which will be staged on 3rd June 2015 at The Hilton Hotel in Manchester.
The awards’ shortlist was unveiled last week and will see universities and higher and further education colleges from across the North West compete for a total of 17 trophies celebrating ‘excellence’.
The shortlist for the inaugural Educate North Awards is revealed today. The awards will be presented at a unique black tie dinner in Manchester on 3 June 2015 which will showcase the world-class status of many of the North’s leading academic institutions, with a special one-day conference preceding the awards.
Li Yongsheng, the most senior Chinese governmental official based in Manchester, will address the Educate – North conference, which is taking place in association with The Telegraph Media Group on June 3rd.
Mr Li became Consul General in October 2014 after a career which has seen diplomatic service in Rwanda, Mali and The European Union. He is the 10th Chinese Consul General to be based in Manchester.
