Nichola Glossop
Regional newspaper publisher Local World has promoted Hull-based Nichola Glossop to become its new head of training.
Glossop joined the company in 2013 and was previously learning and development manager for the group after spending some years in the same role at A&N Media.
She said: “I’m thrilled to be promoted into this new role and the opportunity to work with the business to drive forward a development agenda that ensures our employees are supported and equipped to fulfil their potential, and the potential of our business.”
It is understood the role will include identifying best practice and monitoring the quality of internal and external training provision, to ensure there is consistency across the group.
Local World HR director Graham Judge said: “This is a key appointment for Local World. Nichola is passionate about training and development and works hard to deliver real business benefit through the development of our people.
“I am pleased to have her on the team.”
