Bentley Motors has announced that it is creating 300 new roles at its Crewe headquarters, including an expansion of its sales and marketing team.

The £40m investment is the largest site development in its history.

The new research and development centre will measure over 45,000sq m and is part of its plans to introduce a new “ultra-luxury” SUV brand to the market in 2016.

“Bentley is the number one luxury car manufacturer in the world and driving more investment into our headquarters and attracting talent is key to continuing our success,” explained Wolfgang Dürheimer, chairman and CEO of Bentley Motors.

Work and recruitment is expected to start next year.
