The main job news on the site last week came from Sheffield, where fast-growing telecoms business XLN announced it would be creating 300 roles over the next five years as part of a £40m investment in the city.
The business also employs 250 staff at its London base, turning over just shy of £50m.
Appointments-wise last week, the former MD of the corporate team at Red Consultancy is to join Manchester Airports Group as its new external communications director.
Lucy Miller has joined EMS
Gyro’s Lucy Miller has moved to Event Marketing Solutions to head up its operations in the Middle East and Africa and B2B agency Marketecture has appointed two new senior account managers.
PR agency Acceleris made a series of appointments, PPS Group installed a new associate director and Hull’s StrawberryToo appointed a creative director.
The Manchester Evening News also announced the successful applicants for its roles of Manchester United and Manchester City editors.
Leeds agency Turn Key has three opportunities on the jobs board this week.
It’s looking for a Senior Account Manager with at least four years’ experience, an Account Manager with at least three and a Senior Account Executive who has six months under their belt.
Peppermint Soda in Cheshire has an opening for a “bright, ambitious and likeable” Business Development Manager with at least five years’ experience and the ability to create and convert a pipeline of clients.
Commercial property advisors Matthews & Goodman is looking for an “energetic and experienced” Marketing Executive who can raise the profile of the firm in the North West. You’ll be operating from offices in both Liverpool and Manchester.
Specialist legal agency mmadigital is after a Senior Web Developer to work from its Cheshire office. Advanced knowledge of HTML, CSS, PHP and MYSQL languages is essential.
Havas Lynx has a vacancy for an Account Manager at its Manchester office. It’s looking for someone who is “delivery focused” and “innovative” with a proven track record in a similar role.
Integrated marketing agency Accord Group needs an Account Executive who will develop and manage a portfolio of clients to generate sales and maximise margins.
Elsewhere on the jobs board this week, a full service marketing agency has an opening for a Copywriter, one of the North West’s “top B2C solicitors” needs a Digital Marketing Manager and a Leeds digital agency could do with a PHP Developer.
A few roles in the fashion industry, too. An online retailer is looking for an “innovative” Social Media Manager, a leading fashion exhibition organiser is searching for a Marketing Manager and there’s also a vacancy for a Retoucher.
Finally, there are opportunities for an eCommerce Executive for a travel business and a Marketing Executive for a “well-known” UK brand.
