New senior marketing role for Anderson at thebigword

Leeds-based thebigword has appointed Kevin Anderson to a newly-created position of global marketing director.

Kevin Anderson takes more than 20 years of marketing and product management experience to the translation and interpreting company, gained primarily in the business-to-business technology sector. He has experience of working across the U.S., Europe, the Middle East and Africa. 

CEO of thebigword, Larry Gould, says: “Kevin Anderson’s experience is key to thebigword’s growing influence on the development of market-leading technologies which will be the way that we delight our customers by delivering language services with greater speed and accuracy.”

Established as one the world’s largest in its sector, thebigword has 500 employees working in 13 global offices and is on track for a £50 million turnover with demand for its technology-enabled language services is growing. 

In the newly-created role Anderson will be responsible for thebigword brand, directing a dispersed team to develop, implement and manage the customer-facing strategy that will drive growth. 

He is a Chartered Marketer and holds an MBA in International Business from the University of Birmingham, is married with two children.  Based at the company’s global HQ in Leeds, he intends to find time in his busy work schedule to indulge his passion for live music and sport.
