Silverchip technical web development agency has hired two new staff with an e-commerce background, after a period of significant growth.

Marketing manager Kate Welch has joined the Manchester based agency from Blueleaf.

She will be responsible for marketing strategy, starting with the upcoming Prolific North Live event, and partner relationships within Manchester’s digital community.

Sandi Bennett, formerly from Footasylum joins as digital designer.

Between them the pair have wide ranging experience with large-scale brands including: Nike, UKFast, adidas, Sale Sharks, The North Face and BBC.

“It’s a very exciting time for Silverchip. Our agency grew significantly in 2016 and looking at our current list of clients, along with the significant projects that we have planned for delivery in 2017, it’s the right time to step up the agency” said Silverchip co-founder, Jamie McMullan.

Established in 2008 by Liam Bateman and Jamie McMullan, Silverchip works with clients including: England Squash, William Hill, Aunt Bessie’s and Rehau among others.
