Joe McLusky has left his role as a production executive at ITV Studios to join Lime Pictures as head of production at the All3Media-owned indie’s non-scripted unit. He reports in to joint managing directors Claire Poyser and Kate Little.

McLusky is the latest addition to the Lime team. He joins new TOWIE execs Tamsin Dodgson and Daniella Berendsen as well as Lime’s new head of non-scripted drama, Derek Mclean.

McLusky has spent the past three years with ITV Studios where he oversaw a number of programmes including the launch series of Red or Black?, Andrew Lloyd-Webber’s ‘Superstar’, The Chase and the return of Surprise Surprise.

Prior to joining ITV, he was managing director of Carbon Media following an eight year stint at Shine, latterly as director of operations and production.

He began his career as a production co-ordinator/secretary with the BBC in Manchester in 1993 before moving onto Granada, initially as a production  and location manager before being appointed as head of production in the entertainment department in 2000.

In that role, he oversaw programmes including University Challenge, This Morning and Stars in their Eyes.

Speaking about his new role at Lime, McLusky said: “I am thrilled to be joining Lime at such an exciting time. The ambition within the company is clear and I can’t wait to be part of the next stage in its success.”

Poyser added: “If you put to one side Joe’s unrivalled knowledge of pub quiz trivia and his obsessive following of 80’s fashion trends then you find he really is outstanding at production management.”

McLusky will be dividing his time between Lime’s main production base in Liverpool where the company employs over 400 people and at the growing London HQ.
