Love has appointed Kevin Phillips, from American firm, The Via Agency, to take up the role of creative director.

Phillips will be responsible for strengthening the Manchester firm’s advertising offering.

Originally based in Yorkshire, Phillips has worked around the world for companies including Ogilvy and Clemenger Proximity. He was behind award-winning creative for Greenpeace and Sega as well as producing work for Qantas, Vodafone, American Express, VISA and Mitsubishi.

“When planning my move back to the UK, it became clear that I didn’t need to be in London to continue crafting advertising to the highest standards.  Love does great world-class work without any of the bullshit that can accompany agency life.  I’m very happy to be here,” he said.

Phillips will report to founder and executive creative director, Dave Palmer:

“A look through Kevin’s work provokes laughter, makes you care for a cause or as a fellow creative feel slightly annoyed that you hadn’t thought of that.  When you get that kind of reaction, you know you’re hiring the right person.  I’m really looking forward to work alongside Kevin.”
