The BBC Asian Network has announced a new presenting line-up including former Fever FM presenter Harpz Kaur.

Kaur will host the Sunday morning show from 6am-10am, starting on November 26th.

“I’ve always chased my dreams. And I can’t believe the day has come where I can now say it’s come true! I’m overly excited and grateful to take on this opportunity. It’s an absolute honour to have the chance to represent the BBC. It’s going to be an amazing journey,” she said.

She started out on Fever FM in Leeds and since then has established herself as a solo DJ, appearing at events around the world.

A qualified journalist, Kaur was a finalist in the Asia Media Awards last year.

“These changes mark a significant development in the new Asian Network, which continues to grow its popularity with the audience and importance within the BBC,” said Bob Shennan, controller Radio 2, Asian Network and 6 Music.

The station attracts an average audience of 607,000 every week.
