MEN business journalist Ferguson joins Citypress

Manchester Evening News business reporter James Ferguson has been hired by Citypress.

Ferguson, who has been working as part of the paper’s general news team since it restructured earlier this year, joins the Manchester-based agency as a content specialist.

Also moving to Citypress is Chris Hopper, another former business journalist who spent three and a half years at the Lancashire Telegraph before moving into PR with MC2 in 2011. He takes up the role of senior account manager.

Citypress employs over 50 staff across its offices which also include Edinburgh, Birmingham, Bristol and London. It works with clients such as American Golf, Brother, KPMG and Weir Group.
