Out There Events has been hired by Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce to deliver the AV, lighting and film production for its annual dinner.

The Manchester-based events specialist beat off competition from 12 other firms to win the contract, which includes filming the event in its entirety, producing edited films of each of the speakers, managing all the sound and lighting requirements, plus sourcing and installing branded table decorations.

The event will take place at The Point at Lancashire County Cricket Club on May 30. Chief Secretary to the Treasury Danny Alexander MP is the main speaker, with Jimmy Carr providing the after-dinner entertainment.

Siobhan Niven, head of events at Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, said: “After a closely-run tendering process, the Chamber decided to award the contract for its AV, lighting and filming requirements to Out There Events.

“This company showed that they had the technical expertise, experience and drive to produce and manage large-scale events in a professional and seamless manner. We loved their approach to the brief and are looking forward to working alongside them to deliver one of the best events for the region’s business community.”

Out There Events was established in 2001 and is part of the Timpson Group, and John and James Timpson are on the Out There Events board.

Marcie Incarico, managing director of Out There Events, added: “We’ve got a great track record in successfully delivering a wide range of events of all shapes and sizes, and have the creative and technical in-house expertise to ensure that we meet each and every requirement of our brief, exceeding all expectations.

“We’re thrilled to be working with the team at Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce and hope to produce a night to remember.”
