Job Title: Women in Technology Project Manager (Ref: WTPM4008)
Salary: £20,401 to £30,602 per annum
Contract: Fixed Term until March 2016
Based: Manchester City Centre
The Digital Growth service is a delivered by a fast paced team who keep up with new and emerging technologies, transferring this knowledge to SME`s in Greater Manchester and Cheshire as part of the Women In Broadband Challenge fund. Working in our central Manchester office, this position will support the Digital Growth Manager in the delivery of the Women In Technology contract.
As a member of the Digital Growth Team you will continue the development and delivery of the Women in Technology programme to ensure the biggest impact across the Greater Manchester and Cheshire regions for women-led businesses and potential female entrepreneurs to take advantage of digital technology and faster broadband to expand or set-up new businesses, including home-based. To project manage the delivering against the Women in Technology contract to ultimately encourage women’s enterprise across Greater Manchester and Cheshire to develop the digital know-how and confidence to fully benefit from the superfast broadband infrastructure.
You will also be required to build relationships with existing female entrepreneur networks, partners and local authorities to raise awareness of the programme and to ensure the highest level of engagement across the Greater Manchester and Cheshire regions as well as work with the marketing and events team to develop a fully integrated offer to ensure the delivery and impacts of the contract are achieved. A key aspect of the role will be to work closely with the Digital Growth Events co-ordinator to create new and repeat events for female-led entrepreneurs based on: networking, subject related master classes and workshops.
The successful applicant will have strong project management, organizational and great communication skills, a professional and courteous manner along with confidence in both working and communicating with people and management at all levels. They must demonstrate the ability to multi task and be a very flexible worker who can juggle numerous projects, sometimes completing tasks within a short turnaround period. They must also be IT literate, have a keen interest in digital technologies and able to use CRM systems & Microsoft Office applications.
