Don’t Panic is a Ramsbottom-based event management company which provides a wide range of event-related services to major clients across the UK. We specialise in conferences, awards ceremonies and promotional activity on behalf of organisations as diverse as JustGiving, the NHS and Knowsley Safari Park as well as running a highly successful series of own branded Search and Social Media Awards which take place in Europe and Las Vegas.

The role

We are looking for an experienced Sponsorship Sales Executive to join our team.

The role will involve:

Sponsorship sales across a number of our own branded awards events including the UK Search Awards, The European Search Awards, The US Search Awards, the Social Impact Awards, The UK Social Media Awards and The Public Sector Communication Awards.

Sponsorship and exhibition sales across a number of client events including SAScon and The CIM Northern Conference

You will be required to:

  • Work with our MD to develop a number of sponsorship and exhibition packages for the events
  • Conduct in-depth industry research to create and identify appropriate prospect list
  • Conduct telesales activity and face to face meetings as appropriate to promote the opportunities
  • Manage the negotiation process and close deals
  • Manage the contract and ongoing sponsor liaison

We are looking for someone with a strong sales background, ideally with experience of selling for events. A driving licence and own car is essential.

Salary & Benefits

The role can be part time or full time. The basic salary for this role is £15,000 per annum pro-rata, a 10% commission will be paid on all sponsorship and exhibition sales. The OTE earnings will be in excess of £25,000. All staff receive a company pension after completion of six months probationary period and four weeks paid holiday.
