We have a new opportunity for a Senior Media Manager to join our Leeds-based Earned Media team. We are looking for a talented and ambitious candidate who can manage a number of projects for high profile brands across various sectors, from fashion and finance to travel and technology.
Managing a team of Digital Media Executives, the successful candidate will oversee the delivery of a whole host of exciting campaigns which integrate PR, social and content for clients such as Ann Summers, Virgin Holidays and Pets at Home.
The Senior Media Manager’s main role is to ensure that the team is delivering campaigns successfully and meeting objectives, playing an important part in team development and delivering results for each client.
We are looking for someone who is digitally savvy, with a strong background in traditional and/or online PR, proactive and able to develop interesting and newsworthy campaigns. The ideal candidate will have strong media relationships and experience with various PR techniques for securing coverage, as well as significant previous experience of managing a team.
Managing and developing a team of digital media executives, ensuring that they deliver outstanding results
Working on a set number of key clients and ensuring that their coverage and link KPIs are met consistently, as well as overall responsibility for client performance
Translating SEO and client briefs into effective Earned Media campaigns (for multiple clients), and ultimate responsibility for executing these campaigns on time and on budget
Responsibility for generating truly innovative ideas, and vetting the feasibility of the ideas generated by your team
Attending internal account catch up meetings, external monthly and quarterly client meetings, client calls, and overseeing all account admin, such as reporting
Drafting and proofing of a wide range of content, you will be one of the final sign off points for campaign proposals, press releases and client facing documents, so your attention to detail will be second to none
Maintaining and growing client relationships
Identifying and building strong relationships with key media targets & journalists, communicating key stories and securing lots of coverage from online publications
In depth knowledge of a number of sectors (both directly related to your clients, and not) and a detailed knowledge of the media landscape in general
Proactive and works well under pressure
Highly organised, able to manage multiple campaigns and large budgets
Able to efficiently manage a team of people
Strong PR (for SEO) background and proven record of securing widespread authoritative coverage
Strong communication and copywriting skills, with a keen eye for detail
Excellent relationship building skills and existing media relationships
The ability to create and deliver fresh, innovative campaign ideas
