Little Black Book

Project Manager – Lancashire/Manchester – £30-35k

Highly respected computer graphics and visual effects studio, with offices in West Lancashire and Manchester, is looking for a Project Manager to join their production team, working across a range of projects, primarily for automotive accounts.

Reporting into the Head of Production and working alongside the Account Director, you will be responsible for delivering creative, high quality productions within budget and deadline. You will organise and motivate the teams (artists, developers and VFX specialists) on each project you work through, ensuring that any issues are flagged and solutions are actioned. You will be client-facing, building on the existing relationships and providing excellent customer service. You will liaise with these clients to determine their requirements, produce cost breakdowns, schedules and give progress reports. You will assess and critique work, ensuring that projects are completed to client/project specification without errors.

Ideally, you will have worked as a project manager in a digital agency, although candidates from a IT background will be considered if they have worked in a consultancy capacity and been client-facing (working on numerous projects simultaneously). You will have an affinity with creative work, an understanding of CGI and its usage, and a strong technical understanding – that’s not to say that you need to know the ins and outs of CGI, but you must be able to understand technical language and ‘translate’ it accordingly for clients. You will be an incredibly organised candidate, with experience of managing large-scale and big budget projects.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on some very high profile projects, for incredible international brands. The company has a great team culture and is a lovely place to work. This role is predominantly based in East Lancashire, although some Manchester-based work is possible (up to 2 days per week max).
