We are looking for a dynamic, creative and hard-working individual for the role of Press and Social Media Officer at Liverpool Hope University. If you are a self-motivated, proactive and enthusiastic individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills, this could be the perfect role for you.
You will need to have been working in a PR or Corporate Communications role for a minimum of two years and ideally have some experience of the Higher Education sector. You will have experience of creating social media strategies and plans for your organisation, along with the day-to-day management of various social media platforms and channels. You will also be able to demonstrate successful press relations and the ability to secure good news coverage. You will be required to write, edit and sell in press releases. It is essential that you have professional experience of both press and social media.
You will be supporting the Corporate Communications and Marketing Manager in all areas of the small team’s work, but particularly with media relations and social media covering proactive and reactive communication as well as crisis communication. Your day-to-day tasks will include media monitoring and journalist engagement, as well managing social media channels. You will be tasked with developing internal relations to enhance and maintain the supply of good news stories that promote the University.
