Sophie Jackson

Havas Lynx is a communications agency with offices in Manchester, London and New York. The majority of our work focuses on healthcare matters and we work to ensure our messages are informed, helpful, innovative and engaging. Across our UK offices we have a team of 200 people who produce global marketing campaigns which truly enhance people’s lives – key to this is our excellent Insights and Planning team who are integral to every stage of a project’s life cycle. Due to the team’s impact and their subsequent success, we’re pleased to be seeking an additional Planner to join us in Manchester.
As an agency, we rely on our Planners to be involved in the entirety of a project; from brand planning, through to campaign execution, evaluation and refinement. This is therefore a hands-on role and the successful candidate will have a responsible and integral part to play – working alongside Account Handlers, you’ll be heavily involved from the outset by contributing to research where needed, researching the digital landscape, undertaking competitor analysis, KPI and creative brief generation. You’ll also be heavily involved in client contact; establishing relationships, leading pitches, workshops and fronting external meetings. You’ll then work to bring the campaign to life by liaising with internal teams to ensure that any work produced is on strategy and that key messages are conveyed in an appropriate and engaging way. Given our positioning and client base, much of this activity will be within the healthcare market – although previous experience in this sector isn’t essential, it is important that you are able to draw on your knowledge gained and effectively apply this to a new industry.

We’d like to hear from people who possess and can demonstrate:

• A strong, strategic, digital marketing background gained from either a creative agency or the pharmaceutical industry
• The ability to confidently provide and cater market research to develop robust insights, achieving a thorough understanding of the brand and target audience
• The confidence and interpersonal skills to work effectively with both internal teams and clients
• An eagerness to thoroughly understand the client’s long-term brand objectives and to exceed their expectations, whilst promoting new business opportunities

As well as a proven track record in a similar role, your softer skills are also very important to us. You will find that Havas Lynx is a sociable, friendly environment, so personality is key. We would hope you are a real team player who is confident, proactive and who has the ability to remain calm and deliver under pressure. In return, we place a great deal of focus on the development of our people, supporting you and giving you every opportunity for the advancement of your career. We are proud to offer a comprehensive, internal training program – you can view more details on LX Academy here. We’re also very proud of our heritage and culture; take a look at our Facebook page and follow us on Twitter via @HAVASLYNXEU and @LX_workwithus for a closer look at what we get up to socially.
