Due to our continued success we are looking for a driven and enthusiastic New Business Development Manager to join our talented team.
We are a growing marketing company based in Halifax/Leeds, West Yorkshire that provides outsourced PR and marketing expertise, primarily in in the B2B sector. Our objective is to help clients raise their profile, increase their sales and maximise profits. We have a small, highly experienced team that gets results, but also enjoys itself along the way!
This role will be to establish, lead and close new business opportunities in conjunction with the Account Director within an agreed sector (or sectors) and region. Ideally the candidate will have marketing knowledge and will be sharp on a commercial level. You will need to be a self-starter, capable of driving the opportunities forward. A high work ethic and disciplined approach to day-to-day work is key. Candidates must have excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills, be proactive and driven by targets.
– Create and maintain a strategy that identifies the target organisations
– Become the sector/s expert working with the Account Director
– Develop and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities
– Use initiative identifying tender and pitch opportunities
– Complete tenders and pitches with Account Director support
– Utilise client, personal and industry contracts
– Ensure clear and on-going reporting on progress
– Ideally 2+ years business development experience
– Specific expertise in the sale of marketing services (preferable)
– Proven track record in securing strategic new client business
– Demonstrate best-practice sales and management skills
– Adhere to a sales methodology that ensures qualification
– Strong client relationship skills
