What’s the Multimedia Project Manager/Business Analyst role all about?
This role is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the full end to end of our Multimedia projects at ao.com. Starting with analysing, understanding and documenting objectives and requirements of business stakeholders, before seeing the project through delivery to completion. As a member of the Projects team a key expectation of the person is to support the UK and International eCommerce teams in understanding, planning, implementing and delivering to market. You will work in an open office environment where collaboration and lean methods of working are adopted and encouraged.
The successful candidate will report to the Marketing Operations Manager
What will my responsibilities be as a Multimedia Project Manager/Business Analyst?
Gathering and understanding business requirements through appropriate techniques such as workshops and interviews.
Deliver clear, concise and accurate briefs with appropriate documentation to support conversations with the production team stakeholders.
Constructively challenge requirements and priorities to support the business in maximising benefit from projects in an environment of continual change.
Supporting the backlog which results in initial sizing projects planning.
Supports the multimedia team, business stakeholders and Marketing Operations Manager to agree and document the project scope.
Work closely with the business in understanding relative priority of requirements
Providing a fundamental link between the multimedia, content and web departments, within the UK and Global teams
Delivery of projects via sprint/kanban methodology
Identification of project efficiencies
Identifying risks and mitigation options

What skills do I need to have as a Multimedia Project Manager/Business Analyst?
Experience in a marketing environment preferably with knowledge of multimedia process, and multi-channel project delivery
Experience in a thriving production team, and the studio/resource management that accompanies
Commercially aware with the ability to think strategically when solving problems.
Understanding of waterfall and agile project management methodologies e.g. SCRUM
Strong analytical skills and experience of crafting water tight creative briefs
Understanding of multi-channel communications
Excellent facilitation, negotiation and communication skills.
An appreciation of how things work technically with the aim of facilitating conversations either with the development team or non-technical stakeholders.
You will be driven and self-motivating with a strong ‘can do’ attitude in a fast paced environment. You will enjoy variety on a day-to-day basis and be able to support a development team to deal with ‘in-flight’ change.
You will have experience managing stakeholder expectations and controlling project scope. You will be credible & reliable, and able to interact confidently and well with a wide range of people at all levels, internally and externally.
