Working closely with the Creative Director, the Motion/Graphics Designer will be responsible for creating design solutions that have a high visual impact. The role involves listening to clients and understanding their needs before making design decisions.
Your designs are required for a huge variety of products and activities, such as films, websites, advertising, magazines, posters, product packaging, exhibitions and displays, corporate communications and corporate identity, e.g. giving organisations a visual ‘brand’.
Working to a brief agreed with the client, creative director or account manager. You will develop creative ideas and concepts, choosing the appropriate media and style to meet the client’s objectives.
The work demands creative flair, up-to-date knowledge of industry software and a professional approach to time, costs and deadlines.
-The design and creation of video title sequences, promos, interstitials and online digital campaigns for a wide range of blue-chip clients.
-Pitch creative storyboard concepts, be able to demonstrate a strong talent for design & animation and deliver high-quality work for low, mid and high-end budgets.
-Liaison with directors, cameramen and clients as well as working closely with our production team to discuss the business objectives and requirements of the job.
-Interpreting the client’s business needs and developing a concept to suit their purpose.
-Estimating the time required to complete the work and providing quotes for clients.
-Thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts.
-Using innovation to redefine a design brief within the constraints of cost and time.
-Presenting finalised ideas and concepts to clients or account managers.
-Working on layouts and artworking pages ready for print.
Essential skills required
-An extensive understanding of communication, brand and marketing.
-Preferably at least 3 years industry experience in Motion Graphics
-Advanced experience with the Adobe Suite – Premier, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator
-Experience with 3D software, Final Cut Pro, film shoots is a plus
-Strong at conception, storyboarding, illustrating, directing and animating
-Excellent project management skills
