As a Marketing Officer with Transport for Greater Manchester you will support campaigns designed to promote Metrolink and other modes, which aim to increase revenue and patronage, while at the same time generating awareness of TfGM and our role and responsibilities.
TfGM oversees transport in Greater Manchester, delivering and improving transport services, facilities and information to make travel easier for everyone. We deliver high-profile, large-scale transport projects, and it’s our experts who provide the information and analysis to shape transport strategy. This is a busy and exciting time for us: under the devolution agreement and with Greater Manchester at the heart of the Northern Powerhouse, transport will play a vital role in supporting growth and prosperity in the UK’s largest regional economy outside London.
You will be responsible for supporting the delivery of high-quality tactical and above the line creative campaigns to support public transport, sustainable travel, highways and other TfGM activity to tight deadlines and in a pressured environment. You will also build successful relationships with internal colleagues and external agencies in order to develop and deliver activity, working alongside numerous departments delivering communications, digital and marketing activity to ensure the success of major projects.
You will have experience of monitoring and reporting on campaigns and enhancing the customer offer. Experience of delivering activity that encourages modal shift would also be ideal – as well as a creative mind and flexible attitude.
