CTI Digital would love to hear from experienced lead Magento developers who’d be interested in joining the team at our Manchester city centre office. The successful candidate will have an excellent knowledge of Magento development and be accustomed to planning and implementing elegant, maintainable solutions which serve a client’s requirements. You’ll work with our Magento team to help improve the way we approach and deliver Magento-based projects.
Demonstrated senior/lead development experience in an object-orientated environment or (2:1 or higher) in Computer Science (or related technical field) AND have 6 years commercial experience.
Magento Developer or Developer Plus Certification.
Experience leading 5 or more projects.
Experience of working with both Magento Community & Magento Enterprise (portfolio).
Experience writing technical specifications & User stories.
Experience in managing a team of developers for a project.
Excellent Magento back-end knowledge.
Strong OO programming knowledge including design patterns.
Experience of integrating Magento with 3rd party ERP / CRM systems.
Experience of using the Magento API
Experience of creating Magento plugins
Experience of XML-RPC, REST, SOAP and other web services.
A proactive, entrepreneurial and self-motivated outlook
Extensive experience and a high standard of PHP coding ability, with an understanding of the advantages of producing clean, maintainable code
Nice to have
Experience with the Atlassian suite (we use Jira, Bamboo, Stash and Hipchat).
Experience with running Magento on Amazon EC2 instances (hosting and scaling)
Experience writing deployment scripts for Magento (Atlassian Bamboo)
Experience working with advertising/creative agencies and/or software development houses, sales teams, and multi-disciplinary teams a major advantage
Use of the PHP Storm IDE + Magicento plugin.
Day to day responsibilities
Liaise and communication with clients whilst writing technical specifications.
Managing a team of developers associated to the current project.
Actively identifying ways in which we can improve our Magento build process.
Identify performance bottlenecks and implement fixes.
Excellent communication skills (you will be able to express technical concepts clearly and be eager to contribute to highly-energised discussions)
Attend bi-weekly team meetings and actively contribute to our open source Magento projects.
