What’s the IT Project Manager role all about?

Are you a passionate project manager who is looking for a successful organisation to which you can contribute and share successes with? You currently manage and successfully deliver multiple projects of various lengths simultaneously and enjoy the variety. You have experience of working on IT projects with in-house technical staff delivering a wide variety of solutions. You have experience in managing either back office distribution / logistics projects or e-commerce development projects?

What will my responsibilities be as an IT Project Manager?

Responsible for managing Agile software delivery teams from conception through to post go-live support of varying shapes and sizes.
You will be responsible for producing, owning and managing the overall project plan, with an appreciation for the technical solution.
You will need to be able to manage change and re-plan as required.
For each project you will be the single point of contact for key business stakeholders in regard to managing their expectations around scope, timescales, risks, dependencies, etc.
You will need strong communication skills to ensure single common ‘message’ from the delivery team and IT, e.g. with stakeholder management, priorities, status reporting, setting deadlines for dependencies etc. This should be both internally and externally.
What skills do I need to have as an IT Project Manager?

3+ years’ experience in a project management role
Familiarity with diverse methodologies such as Agile, Scrum and Kanban.
1 -2 years Commercial experience using Lean development processes such as those above.
Experience working on back office distribution and logistics projects
Willingness to travel to our logistics site in Crewe on a regular basis
Comfortable working directly with business sponsors and stakeholders to prioritise business initiatives
Broad background and experience of IT technologies
Prior experience working with internal development teams and third party providers and partners
Happiest working in a fast paced, challenging and rapidly changing environment.
