This really is an exciting time to lead our Real Time Bidding department. We have access to some of the largest advertising budgets and with some of the biggest household brands. As more and more of our clients are transferring their traditional advertising budgets to Real Time Bidding (RTB), our programmatic / display advertising offering has progressed tremendously over the past 12 months. Because RTB is the fastest growing online advertising channel, we fully expect this upward trajectory to continue. With the kudos also of working for one of the biggest Digital Marketing agencies in Yorkshire and a Sunday Times Top 100 Employer (3 years in a row!)
The team is currently a small one but we are looking for someone to take it to the next level. As Head of RTB you will continue to drive and shape our offering. Whilst leading and developing the team, and as the team grows, you will also act as an Account Manager for our clients. You will advise them strategically and creatively on the set-up of their display (programmatic) campaigns. You will have experience selling and managing Real Time Bidding services and you will be passionate about offering an excellent service.
By knowing the client inside out, and by understanding the goals of each campaign, you will present a compelling targeted advertising strategy that will drive traffic to their website. Each strategy might encompass a number of different platforms including desktop, video, mobile and social media. Liaising and building relationships with clients and media sales companies will be essential to ensure we are able to negotiate and obtain the best advertising rates possible.
Checking progress and on-going reporting will also be an important element of the role because the decisions we make are based on the data and evidence we gather. By monitoring media buying strategies and keeping up to date with industry research, audience and distribution figures, you will make strategic recommendations for the direction of our campaigns. Logic, innovation and creativity are perfectly combined in this position. As the RTB expert, you will attend and lead client meetings, delivering insight and advice.
Other duties include:
• Developing the RTB offering as necessary in order to provide the best possible service and an excellent sales and marketing strategy
• Working closely with the Web & Analytics team to provide suitable creative for clients on an ongoing basis
• Identifying, appraising, pursuing and winning new business opportunities by working closely with the sales team
• Contributing to the sales strategy for growth of the RTB division
• Making recommendations on recruitment requirements and the future structure of the RTB team
• Managing and developing team members
• Providing regular reports on activity to the Head of Paid Media
• Attending and speaking at conferences
