We are now seeking to appoint a Head of Interactive – this exciting role has a remit to ensure the highest quality content is delivered to audiences on all our digital platforms.
As Head of Interactive you will have responsibility for shaping and delivering the strategic vision of Interactive content across BBC Children’s. It’s a high profile brief with a reporting line to the Director of Children’s, you’ll be part of the senior management team of the Children’s department and a member of the Children’s Leadership Group.
You’ll work closely with the two Channel Controllers, as well as senior managers from BBC Future Media, to devise and agree the strategy and detailed plan for Children’s interactive, and you’ll look ahead at the Interactive environment in terms of both technology and content development, to keep Children’s abreast and ahead of market changes.
The Ideal Candidate
With a credible industry reputation you will be an experienced leader and people manager who can demonstrate a strong track record of production in a wide range of genres and extensive knowledge of the multiplatform arena.
You’ll be aware of the challenges facing Children’s in the area of content delivery and platform innovations, but you’ll understand the technology, teams and processes which are needed to create the BBC’s interactive products, as well as having the knowledge of how to exploit new and future technology developments to drive Children’s Interactive content forward.
