Following a restructure of their multi channel marketing team, this specialist retail business in Manchester have created a new opportunity for an eCommerce Trading Manager to help drive their online sales across a number of brands.
Reporting to the Head of eCommerce, you will work with the trading team to develop and implement an online trading strategy for each brand, maximising sales and profitability across a diverse product and customer base. You will be responsible for analysing on-going trading performance, historical sales, trends and competition, and continually look to identify areas for improvement. It will be your responsibility to enhance trading and tactical promotions across the websites including building new deal / offer pages on a daily and weekly basis, adopting a test and learn attitude. You will work with your eCommerce colleagues to enhance online customer journey and drive conversion rate up, and with the merchandising team to manage slow sellers and clear stock. Your role will be the key link between buying / merchandising and eCommerce teams.
As a results-focused eCommerce professional, with a strong trading track record, you will possess impressive commercial awareness, with a focus on margin retention and growth. You will have demonstrable experience of developing a successful insight-driven merchandising strategy, with the ability to implement both proactive and reactive activities to maximise online trading. Your experience will have given you a thorough understanding of eCommerce metrics (Google Analytics or similar) and website functionality, and you will also understand how social media can make a positive impact on online trading.
