Digital Media Sales Manager required for a new health and lifestyle website featuring a celebrity TV doctor.

The primary role of the Digital Media Sales Manager will be to sell digital media to healthcare professionals. The successful candidate will be bright, articulate and confident selling to potential buyers who are well educated successful professionals and in many cases highly respected experts.

Key responsibilities:-

* to help plan and deliver sales strategies for digital media and paid for content on the website

* to approach commercial targets

* to prepare and deliver sales presentations

* to handle commercial negotiations and close deals

* to manage the sales process from pitch to sign off

* to liaise internally with editorial, advertorial and marketing colleagues

* to deliver accurate forecasts and reports as required by management

* to understand the sales lifecycle and manage clients throughout the pipeline so as to maximise sales / repeat sales and deliver more accurate forecasting through analysis and insight

* to grow and supervise a sales team as the business grows

Essential skills / experience:-

* a minimum of 5 years experience in a competitive, target driven sales environment

* a proven track record selling both print and online content and advertising packages

* excellent communication and negotiation skills, persuasiveness and assertiveness

* confidence selling on the phone and in person with the ability to transfer from cold calling to developing and managing client relationships

* be self motivated, tenacious, hard working and a team player

* time management skills, organisation skills and the ability to multi-task

* experience in a similar role in digital media sales for a UK website

* a thorough knowledge of what paying clients value in digital media and how they will spend money marketing themselves through digital media content and advertising

* sales analysis and business case development

* the experience and desire to exceed targets and achieve uncapped commission earnings

* full driving licence

Beneficial but not essential:-

* knowledge of health and lifestyle issues relevant for the 50 plus age group would be an advantage

* previous experience selling to healthcare professionals would be an advantage
