What’s the Digital Marketing Manager role all about?
The UK’s largest online appliance retailer, AO, is looking for a dynamic, passionate and positive Acquisition Manager to support the Head of Ecommerce in bringing the customer value proposition to life and ultimately attracting new customers.
At AO the customer lies at the heart of everything we do and as our Acquisition Manager, you would have the opportunity to define and cultivate how we deliver exceptional customer experience across the acquisition channels.
What will my responsibilities be as a Digital Marketing Manager?
Develop strategy in line with business objectives and sales forecasts
Optimise testing across data, media, proposition and creative to drive performance through a test and learn approach
Forecast, drive & deliver on target sales and return on ad spend across all online acquisition channels
Drive the promotions calendar in line with business requirements, manufacturer partnerships and competitor activity
Collaboratively work across departments, including customer insights, trade marketing, design, content, web development, multimedia and operations.
Work with the Acquisition Analytics and Business Intelligence teams to drive innovative projects, including real time reporting, attribution model, search bidding rules model and Google API
Help to drive the optimisation of the customer journey across all channels and platforms by feeding insights into the testing plan
Assist in launching new countries and ensure best practice, systems and processes are adopted across international acquisition teams
Coach, mentor and develop the Acquisition team (15 people) and foster a culture of autonomy and ownership
What skills do I need to have as a Digital Marketing Manager?
Considerable experience of delivering insight-driven B2C integrated retail digital marketing acquisition strategies, in particular paid search, affiliates and display (min 5 years)
An ecommerce background is required and offline marketing experience is beneficial
Passionate about customer driven integrated marketing
Have a strong track record of delivering quantifiable results through adopting a test and learn approach
Positive, dynamic and motivational leader who empowers people to take ownership
Team player who thrives collaboratively working across multi-disciplinary teams
Ability to clearly communicate the acquisition strategy to all levels of stakeholders
Strong numeracy and analytical skills to interpret key metrics and ability to analyse data and use it to inform decision making
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Aptitude to thrive in a fast paced, agile and changeable ecommerce business
