Senior Digital Marketing Executive

Job scope:

The primary purpose of the Senior Digital Executive role is the day-to-day management of all lead generation channels including PPC, SEO, Display and Affiliate ensuring digital suppliers remained motivated and focused in order to consistently hit digital targets. The Senior Digital Executive will need to continually monitor, analyse and optimise Optionis’ group of website to increase conversion rates and maximise performance. The Senior Digital Executive will need to work closely with other members of the Marketing team to ensure that online campaigns are delivered on schedule and to a high standard.


• Own day-to-day management of all lead generation channels for the group of websites ensuring digital targets are achieved
• Management of the digital agency suppliers to ensure they deliver high quality work and remain motivated and focused
• Continually monitor the effectiveness of all digital marketing activity, regularly communicate the results to the Digital Manager and make recommendations as to how to improve future activity
• Regularly review the ser user experience and content of all websites and make pro-active suggestions to improve performance
• Devise and deliver A/B testing strategy ensuring sites are conversion rate optimised
• Deliver website and content changes and make recommendations to improve conversion across company websites
• Ensure consistency of individual branding for company websites and that brand is a key consideration when implementing digital campaigns
• Indirect management of members of Digital team to deliver objectives

• To consistently achieve targets for all digital activity
• To continually improve the conversion rate of entire group of websites
• To ensure Optionis is always up to date in terms of utilising appropriate software, platforms and technological developments in the digital space
• To ensure other departments are aware of digital marketing campaigns and briefed on any impacts they may have
• To ensure digital tasks are carried out on time and on budget
• To ensure a high quality and accuracy of work delivered at all times
• To positively contribute to team morale and manage expectations

• Track record of strategic proposals that have been successfully implemented
• Experience of working closely & building strong relationships with digital agencies
• Excellent working knowledge and understanding of search engine optimisation and proven experience of working on SEO campaigns
• Proven experience of working on successful PPC, Display & Remarketing campaigns
• Proven experience of managing large-scales web projects
• Experience with content management systems such as WordPress and working knowledge of HTML
• Excellent working knowledge of Google Analytics and Google AdWords
• Excellent working knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and the tools to measure and analyse campaign results
• Experience of A/B testing & conversion rate optimisation
• Good decision making skills based on sound commercial judgement
• Excellent analytical skills plus a high attention to detail
• Able to work on own initiative and with a pro-active approach to problem solving
• Able to multitask and work well under pressure and to deadlines
• Experience of creating digital briefs for external agencies
• Good team player with excellent communication skills


• Experience of using marketing automation tools such as Eloqua
• Good understanding and experience of the B2B sector
• Knowledge of the staffing and recruitment industry
• Knowledge of CSS
• Good presentation skills



• 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C or above including maths and English
• 3 A levels (or equivalent) at grade C or above


• Educated to degree level
• GAP qualified (Google Advertising Professionals)
