Contract Type:

The world in which we live is changing and technology is the rocket fuel for that change.
When Sir Tim Berners-Lee invented the World Wide Web in 1989 could he have imagined that conversations around things on the internet would be replaced by the Internet of Things?
Technology underpins every aspect of our lives and that’s why Business Cloud News is expanding its team and looking for a Deputy Editor who’s as excited by the future as we are.
Business Cloud News is part of the UKFast group. We don’t just write the news, we make the news. UKFast’s co-founder and CEO Lawrence Jones has just invested £1m in Outsourcery, a company headed by ex-Dragons’ Den star Piers Linney.
Imagine starting a business today that would have a valuation of $1bn in eight years from now. Technology is making that happen. It took Walmart 35 years to get to $1bn of revenue but it will take Uber five years to get to $10bn.
Business Cloud News is ambitious. Our magazine and online newsletters will be what the digital and tech entrepreneurs and people associated with the sector will read. Our events will attract the best speakers and the best audiences.
The Deputy Editor will be responsible for providing content for the magazine, daily online newsletter and running events. They’ll be tasked with interviewing some of the biggest names in businesses and the entrepreneurs of the future. They’ll also deputize for the Editor.
The person we’re looking for will be an experienced journalist, ideally with a background in business and technology. They’ll be as comfortable talking in front of 500 people as they are in front of one.
Technology is changing the world and if you want to be part of this change then this job is for you. An excellent salary and remuneration package is available for the successful applicant. At Business Cloud News even the sky’s not the limit.
Salary: Dependent on experience but between £35,000-£40,000
