Epiphany is on the lookout for a Data Journalist, with an eye for detail, a creative flair and the key ability to source, analyse and interpret a range of primary and secondary research across a variety of industry sectors.

The successful candidate will work closely with Epiphany’s Earned Media team in order to develop exciting digital media campaigns across an array of big name brands, such as Ann Summers, Savills and Pets at Home. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a leading digital agency and help deliver our award winning digital marketing campaigns.

key responsibilities.

Working closely with Digital Media Managers to perform due diligence checks on any research required for proposed content marketing projects
To determine which research methods are best suited to achieve project goals in the most cost effective manner
To design and execute primary research required for content marketing projects, including but not limited to surveys, case study interviews and focus groups
To source existing secondary data for primary research purposes, including, but not limited to, the management of freedom of information requests and existing client data
To undertake desk research and any other secondary research required for content marketing projects
To build relationships with key organisations, such as charities or government bodies, that can contribute secondary research for content marketing purposes
To work with Digital Media Managers to formulate headlines, stories and other content based on primary and secondary research and analysis
To effectively communicate complex data analysis to wider audiences, and internal departments, including studio teams
To carefully plan the execution and delivery of all research work to meet the needs and deadlines of all clients

The ability to recognise which research methods are required to meet a variety of briefs
Experience analysing and interpreting data and research
The ability to understand how data and research can be interpreted creatively
High attention to detail
An understanding of how to access existing data
Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and numerical skills
