What’s the Camera Operator role all about?
We are looking for a creative camera operator with experience in both studio and location work to join our busy production team.
You will work closely with colleagues in all departments to produce digital media material on AO.com.
An individual with a strong creative eye and superb attention to detail and composition you will be equally confident working as part of a large crew or working independently.
What will my responsibilities be as a Camera Operator?
Filming video content to support all areas of the business including product reviews and brand and social media.
Assisting the Senior Cameraman in organizing location shoots including location recces, preparing shot lists and selecting and hiring kit.
Attending shoots at short notice to capture news prominent events or stories
Ensuring the studio equipment is maintained and stored properly.
Ensuring a focus on high production values and driving quality whist remaining true to the brand.
What skills do I need to have as a Camera Operator?
Camera Operating experience (3 years+) supported by a showreel.
Experience with a range of cameras.
Strong studio and location lighting skills
Ability to follow direction
Experience of working with strong brands and creating material that communicates their key messages.
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to introduce and deliver new ideas.
Pro-active, quick thinking and able to work calmly under pressure.
A passion for camerawork and creating work with outstanding production values.
