The Business Growth Hub is at the heart of Greater Manchester’s strategy for determining and delivering business growth services. We are part of the Manchester Growth Company and we work with ambitious businesses that want to grow their bottom line, boost their profile, and create new business growth. Our key aim is to help people think differently about their business and explore different ways of developing their company.
We are looking to appoint a suitably talented individual to the role of Events Manager to lead the Business Growth Hub’s high profile events programme. Operating across Greater Manchester our events bring together leading entrepreneurs, high profile speakers and growth businesses to explore new growth opportunities and learn about key technology and sector developments.
This events programme is delivered by our own in house teams in partnership with the Business Growth Hub’s partnership network.
The successful candidate will lead a team of event specialists and third party suppliers. The skills and knowledge needed are detailed in the role profile but key desired elements include:
• Budget management and financial planning
• Organisational skills
• All aspects of event management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High level of presentation skills
• Relationship management
• Negotiation with key partners/ suppliers
