Business Development Manager – Manchester – £30-35k
Highly successful design and production agency, based in Manchester is looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team, working closely with the client services team across both existing and new business.
This agency offers a large variety of services and therein lies its main USP! They offer marketing strategy and planning, creative design, print production and repro services, and distribution logistics. It will be your job to understand these various services and up-sell/cross-sell wherever possible. You will work closely with the account managers to identify existing/past clients with a great potential for further work. You will also create new contacts (they have a lot of successful case studies in the retail and food sectors, so this is a good place to start) with a view to building relationships and securing future work. The company offers a very informal culture with bags of character. The directors are fun and very friendly, and this attitude perpetuates throughout the workforce.
You must come from a service-led background, ideally from a creative agency (people with solely product sales experience will not be considered). You will have experience of selling bespoke services within the creative sector and have the ability to spot opportunities for business development. Any experience of working with the food or retail industry (as clients) would be a distinct advantage.
This really is a fantastic opportunity to go in and take ownership of the business development function in a company which has never had one, yet has so many cross- and up-selling opportunities (they can literally design for and print onto anything, so the possibilities are endless). The potential for this person is huge and given the company is genuinely good at what they do, with a number of USPs, I would say it is very much an ‘easy sell’.
