One is an integrated marketing agency which works with a wide variety of exciting B2B and B2C clients. We are looking to continue our successful period of growth by strengthening our new business team and are looking for a motivated, energetic and enthusiastic individual to help us achieve our ambitious new business development plans for the future.

Role Overview:

To manage all tactical new business activities within the agency and support the New Business Director in developing and winning new business.

Main Responsibilities:

• To maintain our prospect database and pipeline management process
• To manage a dynamic and continuous CRM programme against existing clients, hot, warm and cold prospects
• To become involved in the agency’s content programme
• To managing tactical targeted mailing campaigns
• Researching new markets and prospects to deliver insight to improve the agency’s new business traction
• To actively participate in all creative initiatives designed to raise the agency’s profile
• To seek out and, where possibly, take part in all relevant networking opportunities
• To become a key point of contact in managing the agency’s own PR programme
• To assist with the agency’s award entry programme
• To undertake ongoing telephone-based and face-to-face prospect contact to secure meetings and pitches
• To work closely with external lead-generation partners
• To continually review the agency’s competitive landscape
• To understand and keep up-to-date with constant developments in the communications industry and the agency sector
• To help in the ongoing development of the agency’s own marketing collateral
• To help maintain the front of house agency environment for maximum experiential impact
• To run one account within the agency in order to fully understand the agency workflow

Additional Competencies:

• Minimum 2/3 years’ experience within Business Development/New Business or Account Management role (face-to-face experience imperative; experience within the media, marketing and communications world preferred)
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Self-starter who is target-driven and motivated – must be comfortable in a target oriented environment
• Excellent communication and presentation skills (telephone, written and face-to-face)
• Consultative sales skills – our target prospects require a balance of soft sell approach and ongoing longer-term relationship-building
• Excellent time management, an individual who thrives on working autonomously
• Experience working in a marketing / agency / media environment and understanding of (and passion for) the industry
• The ideal candidate will be determined, outgoing, positive, articulate and diplomatic

• Clean driving licence
• MS Office competence
