Jam Pan, a new kind of online learning marketplace, promotes innovation and creativity in learning by connecting the elearning sector with the digital creative sector. Learning projects are posted online for Jam Pan’s marketplace of digital creative professionals to bid for and deliver against.
By introducing a wider choice of creative skills and resources used to create elearning, Jam Pan aims to help L&D to move beyond ‘elearning’ to create better, performance-focused learning products.
This is a fast moving pressurised environment which can lead to issues being personalised leading to tension between colleagues.
Voluntary mediation has been introduced and is successful and valued by staff and the need to be met is to increase the number of mediators.
There is currently a need within the organisation to increase the number of Mediators. At present there are 10 Mediators, however, only 4/5 are currently available at any one time to carry out the role due to the remaining mediators being unavailable due to workload and other work commitments.
Mediation provides an opportunity for members of staff who are in conflict with each other to address their issues in a structured way and seek a way forward. This often brings about resolution at an early stage in a conflict situation and has a positive impact on staff moral and saves the organisation time and money by avoiding lengthy grievances and costly ET’s.
The solution is to support the following areas:
1: The process/steps to follow once meditation has been identified as the next step
2: The process/steps to follow in the mediation session itself
3: What & how to document in the session
4: Share the experience with other mediators easily
5: Content to support individuals in situations they may be faced with
6: Identify the support mechanisms in place to support mediators.
