Accord Unveils New Brand Identity
We’ve recently taken a close look at ourselves and how we can do things better. As a result Accord has unveiled its new brand identity to support our position as an industry-leading, award-winning marketing agency.
The result is a new name – Accord Marketing Ltd. There are also many subtle but meaningful changes, including a new, simplified website and vibrant colour palette.
Our tagline – Brilliantly joined-up – is bold rather than a boast. It represents our contemporary cross-platform approach and the collaborative spirit across four offices.
We have also developed and upgraded our innovative business intelligence software, now renamed LOOP. This offers clients a truly unique insight into real-time campaign performance, allowing them to make decisions and optimise their campaigns at any time.
Accord’s newly-promoted CEO, Sally Winfield, said “Our brand refresh has been exactly that – refreshing for the company externally and for our employees. We hope that the new strategic and visual identity will help us to even better serve our clients and industry, and we look forward to seeing how it evolves over time”.

Accord in running for Northern Power Women award
Accord has been shortlisted for the Small Business award by Northern Power Women. The awards celebrate the women, men and organisations working towards creating gender balance and supporting gender equality in the north.
Northern Power Women are keen to highlight companies that lift up strong role models and encourage inclusive business practices that drive and lead economic growth. The Small Business award acknowledges businesses that work to positively build the skills of women as a key component of their growth strategy. The award winners will be announced on 3 March at a dinner reception at the Hilton Deansgate in Manchester.
Accord embodies Northern Power Women’s focus in taking positive steps to create an inclusive culture for women in the workplace. Committed to equality at every level of the business, 45 per cent of Accord employees are female. Chief Operating Officer Sally Winfield is a leader in building and fostering an environment of equality and fairness that emphasises talent above all else.
She has led the company to the recent win of the Association of Women Travel Executives Company Award, recognising those who support the careers of women in the travel industry. Accord rated ‘brilliant’ to work for by Best Companies
Accord has achieved accreditation as one of the best companies to work for in the United Kingdom. The company achieved 1 Star Accreditation for 2016 and was named a “brilliant” place to work.
The company, with offices in central and north London, Manchester and Devon, is recognised as one of the Best Companies to work for in the UK. Accord was awarded the rating based on the engagement level and overall sentiment of its employees. High levels of job satisfaction and wide appeal were determined through a company-wide survey.
“This was the first year Accord sought accreditation as a ‘Best Company to Work For’ so to be rated as ‘brilliant’ is an achievement we are very proud of,” said Colin Lock, Accord’s Human Resources Director.
“The accreditation recognises both our commitment to put our employees at the heart of Accord and the strong levels of engagement we have with our staff. The goal now is to achieve 2 Star or ‘outstanding’ accreditation in next year’s survey.”
In reviewing Accord, Best Companies highlighted the outstanding response rate from its employees. Some of the key takeaways from the study were:
An 88% response is a very high response rate and indicates a high level of employee engagement.
A significant majority of employees feel positive or strongly positive about the leadership of Accord, their manager, the team they work in and Accord as their employer.
65% of respondents felt positive or strongly positive about Accord. Terms that were highlighted included ‘I feel proud to work for this organisation’ and ‘I am excited about where this organisation is going.’

Accord shortlisted in Northern Marketing Awards
Accord has been recognised for an outstanding marketing campaign to launch Emerald Waterways’ line-up of river cruises for 2016. They have been nominated in the Best Tourism & Leisure Campaign category.
Now in its third year, the Northern Marketing Awards recognise creativity and overall achievement in regional marketing efforts. Managed from Accord’s northern office in Manchester, the Emerald Waterways’ launch campaign was a well-organised mixture of press advertising, television and radio planning, digital execution, and integrated social media campaigns.
Like much of the company’s work, the Emerald Waterways’ campaign focused on the synergy created by combining traditional marketing pushes through national press and TV with highly focused digital support in the form of SEO, PPC and programmatic campaigns. It was through this integrated marketing strategy that Accord was able to meet campaign objectives and conversion targets. Through their work, the agency has been recognised for their ability to achieve goals of outreach, brand awareness, engagement and sales.
Accord wins AWTE Chair Award 2015
Accord is delighted to announce that at this week’s AWTE Chair Awards, the agency’s COO Sally Winfield received Accord’s first trophy after being named as the winner of the ‘Company Supporting Women in Business Award’.
The prestigious awards ceremony is organised by the Association of Women Travel Executives, which supports the careers of women in the travel industry and recognises those who are committed to equal opportunities within the workplace. The ceremony was held on the River Thames aboard City Cruises’ Mayflower, with the awards hosted by television and radio presenter Kate Garraway.
The award won by Accord acknowledges a business’s commitment to gender equality by encouraging female staff and providing the opportunity for them to reach their potential. This is a great achievement and one that the company is particularly proud of.
Accord was shortlisted alongside four other companies and managed to secure the award by demonstrating that they are a marketing agency which values talent above anything else, with a senior management structure that reflects and promotes equality.

Accord COO shortlisted for National Women in Business Award
Accord Group Ltd are delighted to announce that COO Sally Winfield has been shortlisted in the Forward Ladies Women in Business Awards.
The awards, sponsored by HSBC, are now in their sixth year and create opportunities for career women to develop new skills and build networks with other likeminded businesswomen. The awards are run by Forward Ladies, an organisation for women in business.
At Accord, Sally’s role has been instrumental in bringing together three very separate, and at times competing, operations into the UK’s largest travel marketing agency – working with clients of any size – from small independently-owned hotels to international airlines, tourist boards to cruise operators. Sally has worked hard to create an atmosphere that values women and female leadership. Her focus has always been on the development and promotion of real role models within the workplace, which has meant creating an environment that demands equality, shows zero tolerance for workplace sexism and simply values talent above anything else.
The nomination for the award is in the Inspiring Leader of the Year category, where Sally is up against five other contenders. The panel of independent judges will be made up of leading business personalities including Ajaz Ahmed, founder of Freeserve, and Debra White, Regional Director of Small Businesses at HSBC, who is the main sponsor of the event.

The Accord Group has been ranked 17th in The Drum’s Advertising Census 2014. Analysing the top 50 Advertising Agencies in the UK, The Drum has ranked us higher than many well-known agencies.

£25k advertising campaign won for client Champneys
