Richard Gregory, the former Latitude MD, has been appointed non-executive chairman by Liverpool-based Ruler Analytics.
The startup, which recently secured a six-figure investment from The North West Fund for Digital & Creative, was founded by Daniel Reilly and Ian Leadbetter.
Its cloud-based software tool matches real website conversion, lead and inbound telephone call data against the exact marketing source from which it was generated.
Gregory, a well-known figure on the North West digital scene, joined Latitude in 2002 and held various roles at the Warrington-based agency including account director, head of production, and head of search, new business manager and chief operating officer.
He was appointed managing director when former MD Alex Hoye left in 2012.
He is also the co-founder of SAScon, the UK’s largest search analytics and social conference, and a council member at Manchester Digital, the independent trade association for the North West digital sector.
Gregory said: “Having worked with many digital agencies and start-ups, I felt particularly interested in what Ruler Analytics had to offer. The team have delivered a product that successfully combines visitor level analytics, call tracking, attribution and CRM integration. Everything marketer would need.
“It’s an exciting time in the digital sector and I’m proud to be on board with such an innovative team. I’ll be bringing my creativity to the board and using my experience and knowledge of the sector to advise on issues of strategy, performance and scale. I’ll also be outreaching to key contacts in the sector to help build Ruler’s brand awareness.”
Daniel Reilly, director at Ruler Analytics, said: “We are delighted to have Richard on board. His industry knowledge is second-to-none and we are honoured to welcome him to the team. We look forward to seeing his natural enthusiasm and working with him to drive results and help Ruler Analytics to continue to grow.”
