Lancashire-based firm, Simon Jersey, has appointed David Pert to the newly created position of e-commerce director.
He joins from Kaplan Financial, where he was head of digital, prior to that he was e-commerce site manager at Shop Direct Group.
His arrival comes following 18 months of online sales growth for the uniform provider, which in 2014 was named as an official supplier to Team GB and will supply formalwear for athletes and officials to wear at events in Rio.
“Over the past few years we have seen a shift in the buying habits of our customers who are increasingly keen to buy online rather than over the phone. David’s appointment will allow us to explore further opportunities online and help to drive even greater growth in this channel,” explained managing director, James Saunders.
Pert will head up an in-house team of PPC and SEO specialists.
