A London-based scheme which joins charities with media professionals is setting up in Manchester.
Media Trust is a charity which inspires media people to give their time and creative power to help charities, communities and young people.
Its Media Matching service aims to connect charities in need of communications support to volunteer professionals – and is inviting Manchester’s creative and media sector to get involved at a special event later this month.
Media Matching manager Sam Gillett explained the move: “As home to some of the UK’s leading charities and some of its best media and creative talent, Manchester is the ideal place for us to expand our Media Matching scheme that has proven so valuable to many organisations and individuals elsewhere in the UK.”
The Trust has been holding these events in London for ten years, and claims considerable success.
The first Speedmatching event in the city will take place on 16th September at GMCVO – St Thomas Centre, Ardwick Green, from 5.45pm – 7.45pm.
The Trust would like to hear from both charities and media professionals,
