WBA World Super Bantamweight Champion, Scott Quigg, has agreed a 3-fight sponsorship deal with JD.
The Bury-based boxer will enter the ring for his next bouts wearing fighting kit and shorts branded with the retailer’s logo.
“I’m very grateful to be associated with JD and for their support. They are a local company who are expanding internationally and I feel are a great fit for me. I’m really looking forward to working with them as I enter a very exciting period in my career,” he said.
The announcement comes as Quigg aims to unify the super-bantamweight division. Currently undefeated, he’ll be taking on Kiko Martinez in Manchester, later this month. This will be aired live on Sky Sports.
“Scott’s undefeated record speaks for itself, he is a great boxer and is destined for huge things. As a Bury company we are delighted to be able to support local talent and we are very much looking forward to working with Scott and his team at this exciting stage in his boxing career,” added JD’s group marketing director, Stephen White.
JD has previously sponsored Amir Khan, George Groves and Tony Bellew.
