Morrisons’ new chief executive David Potts has used his first day in the job to take to Facebook and launch a staff and customer survey.
In a video, he said his goal was to listen as hard as he possibly can to as many of their customers and staff to ‘see what it is that people really love about Morrison’s and what they would like to see more of – and less of.’
He said: “You would be helping me a great deal as I under take on this job if you were to contribute your thoughts on the way we can improve your shopping at our business, our stores and online, I am very eager to learn and will appreciate it very much.
“In my next while I’ll be feeding back to you on what I’ve done as a result of what I have learned, it is a two-way street and I very much need your contribution to make this work.”

Earlier this week Morrisons announced that its sponsorship deal with Ant and Dec has come to an end.
The celebrity pair had been a mainstay of the Yorkshire retailer’s advertising campaigns for the past two years, and featured in its most recent Christmas ad.
