It is planning to double its portfolio over the next five years and is actively seeking acquisition opportunities across the UK.

Edward Walsh, the group’s finance director, said: “The MCG team was easily superior at every stage of the pitch process – from initial briefing to final presentation. Strategically and creatively they clearly understood our offer and we’re looking forward to working with them as we embark on an ambitious acquisition and expansion programme this year.”

MCG has offices in Leeds and London and works with clients including Pink Lady apples, Tenderstem, Big Bear Confectionery, Damart and Vileda.

MCG director Christine Mortimer added: “We will be raising Bulldog’s profile in the commercial property, hotel and licensed victuallers trade and supporting the group’s communications programme across the industry. Given their ambitious growth programme, we have a great story to tell.”
