Alison Short has left Cube Creative to join Down At The Social as account director.
Short worked at Cube for four years, setting up and running its PR division and representing national health, family consumer and B2B clients. She’d previously worked at Active Profile, Smith & Smith and Souter PR.
Her role at MediaCityUK-based Down At The Social will support MD Daisy Whitehouse with business development, and she will also lead the majority of the agency’s PR and social accounts including Flint + Flint skincare, the Realm portfolio of shopping outlets and Manchester Pride.
She said: “As well as having a strong reputation for consumer PR, Down At The Social is a creative and hard working agency and the quality of personnel is very high.
“I’ve seen a growth in demand over the last few years’ for traditional PR and content campaigns and this is an exciting time to join an up-and-coming agency with such a firm belief in offering quality and creativity in PR, social and marketing.”
MD Whitehouse added: “Alison’s extensive PR sector experience and PR business management expertise is a great asset to the agency and reflects our commitment to growth over the next few years. I think she will be the perfect addition to our ever growing team.”
